Comedy & Theatre
I'm involved in theatre, improv and stand up comedy in Rockhampton, Central Queensland. At the moment my main projects are Remotely Funny livestreamed stand up comedy and the Rocky Improv Group.
My comedy is largely observational and based ridiculous things life has thrown at me: exploding wine barrels, being sawn in half for a living, and growing up on a rosella farm. (No, not the birds.) Comedy has taken me to across the region supporting touring comics, to local festivals, to Brisbane for Raw Comedy and, on one occasion best forgotten, into a garden bed.
My theatre outings include Keppel Coast Arts' Monsoon (November 2017) and Discomfort Zone Theatre Company's Aussie Shakespeare (January 2017). My most recent production was Rocky Radio: Live on Stage, a full-length live show I produced and directed in February 2018. Rocky Radio was a collection of eight short works performed live as radio plays, complete with live sound effects from penny whistles, trays of gravel, coconut shells and other unlikely paraphernalia.
