Comedy & Theatre

I'm involved in acting, comedy and various performance projects in central Queensland.

I'm part of Discomfort Zone Theatre Company, a small independent group creating new and original works that reflect the CQ region we call home.  Our first outing was Aussie Shakespeare, an Australian-themed Shakespearean cabaret mash up early in 2017.  We're currently finalising funding and resources for more fun and games later this year.  I'm also part of Discomfort Zone's improv comedy troupe, which can turn a word into a sketch and a passing idea into a fully fledged piece of theatre.

Rockhampton has a small but feisty comedy community, with our own local comedy club the Red Dahlia and comics doing the rounds of country pubs, community events, fundraisers and, on one notable occasion, a garden bed.  My own comedy is largely observational and based ridiculous things life has thrown at me, like exploding wine barrels, working as a magician's assistant, and growing up on a rosella farm.  (No, not the birds.)

If you'd like to find out more about booking some live improv, theatre or comedy for your event in Rockhampton or the surrounding areas of Central Queensland, please just get in touch.

Here's a little taste of what I do:
